If I pay taxes does that mean I don't have to give to charity?

Some of that money will go to welfare and foreign aid so does that mean I'm excused from giving to charity?

There is no legal requirement to give to any charity.

  • You don't have to give to charity no matter what. You give to charity to help out others less fortunate and help out worthy causes but there is no law you have to do it. Just donate what you can to charity, as you can (doesn't have to be $$$, donating your time can be great too) but if you can't donate thats understandable - just do what you can.
