What age did you/would you allow your daughter to get her ears pierced?

  • I still haven't done it my little girl is too young for it in my opinion. My mom had mine done when i was a baby. I'm just gonna leave it up to my little girl whether or not she wants them pierced when she gets older.

  • Around 14 or 15, same as me. My grandmother never did; she wore clip-on earrings her whole life and so did my great-grandmother. My mom never wears earrings, so I guess hers aren't pierced - I never really took notice.

  • I got my ears pierced when i was 7 or 8 i think. However stay away from piercing guns. Also aslong as they ask for it know the process and be able to care for them.

Check your local professional piercers ( needles not a gun) make sure reviews are good, clean etc.

  • My parents made me wait until 8 years old because that was when my older sister got hers pierced. They wanted it to be fair.
But almost all of the other girls in my elementary school class already had theirs pierced so it was kind of embarrassing.
That being said, if I had a daughter I wouldn’t let her get them pierced until 8 or 9 years old. I personally think that’s a good age, but that’s just me.
Some other cultures are different and get them pierced when they’re babies. 👶🏻
