Who would you rather hire? Someone who quit 3 jobs in 3 months, or someone who's been fired from 3 jobs in 3 months?

If those are my only two options, I might consider offering more for the job.  I wouldnt want to hire either of these people...neither holds onto the job long enough for their employment to be profitable.

  • None of the above, I'd look for someone else.

  • The fired person you can at least check with the other places they worked. A standard firing of 'downsizing' or 'seasonal work' is acceptable.

Someone who quit 3 times is a job hopper - so no on that one.

  • Neither.   It's obvious I'd end up doing the job myself while looking for someone else anyways, so why bother wasting time/money orienting/training either of these people?
