If Trump "did nothing wrong" as he says, why aren't his defense lawyers arguing this instead of arguing about process?

the United States Constitution clearly states that you are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law you don't have to try to prove yourself innocent. You have to make the state or your accuser prove you guilty. And you're allowed to employ procedural safeguards to make it hard for them to do that.

  • Attorneys get paid to give their clients the best possible defenses. When you get a law degree, and after about 30 years of experience, you will have your answer.

  • If trump said he's innocent, then he's innocent, despite what your lying eyes tell you

  • Process is easier to argue about, and it aborts the trial/impeachment completely.

Even in the courts, lawyers spend more time on process than they do in actual finding of guilt or innocence.

  • You seem to be in denial. I can't blame you. the defense team utterly destroyed the democrats. The trial is over and you know it. it is time to punish Schiff for being a traitor.

  • The burden of proof is on the accussers. That's how law 101 works.

And if the process is flawed that suggests the accussers have an agenda. And the defense showed the accusers ignored a bunch of evidence to make their case stronger and they also have no first hand witnesses just cherry picked witnesses mostly driven by assumptions and hear-say. This is a closed-case as much as there ever was really.
