Are critical theory and cultural Marxist theory generally considered liberal or conservative ideology?

  • Best Answer

Conservative and liberal are adjectives not ideologies.

Although, generally, a socialist is a liberal Marxist, while a conservative Marxist is an effing mass murderer.

  • "Generally considered" by WHOM?

From what I know of the people I meet and their political opinions, "cultural Marxist theory" and "critical theory" aren't GENERALLY considered at all.

A fairly small number of highly educated college graduates think about them, and those people aren't either "liberal" or "conservative," but -- well -- Marxist.

-- democratic socialist for less BS and more truth on the Internet

  • Have you ever heard conservative politicians argue people should be advantaged because if their sex, race or other demographic?

They are very left wing ideals.

  • No such thing.   The Frankfurt School, critical theory a few cultural marxism never existed.  They are conspiracy theory made up by conservatives.

  • Both are theories developed by the neo marxists of the Frankfurt School.   They are very far left ideologies promoted by the far left.   You don’t seeing many conservatives arguing blacks today deserve reparations.

  • "Cultural Marxism" objectively does not exist. Try to find anyone who has ever called themselves a "cultural Marxist" and you won't find it. You can downvote this all you want but facts don't care about your feelings. The term is an anti-semitic conspiracy theory going back to Nazi Germany where Hitler used the term "cultural Bolshevism", and then somehow the term later got conflated with the Frankfurt School which had nothing to do with "cultural Marxism" either. It's a fabricated term used by people who have no idea what Marxism even is and then try to conflate things with Marxism that have nothing to do with Marxism.
