  • I'm 17 male, went to eye doctor and gave me glasses with very strong lenses, will it worsen as I get older?

Best answer: Wearing glasses wont typically improve or decrease your eye condition (since poor eyesight commonly caused by your eye shape causing refraction problems). It could get worse and it can get better. Im a believer in have corrective eye surgery. One of the best decisions of my life. Going from almost blind without glasses to seeing with no glasses has been awesome! (I had it done about 10 years ago)

  • Don't you hate wearing thick and heavy glasses all day every day?

Hello, I wear probably close to -12.5 to - 13 glasses and it's taking it's toll on my nose and face. I use to wear contacts but will never wear them again due some freak accident that I had when I was younger. I guess there isn't much I can do besides get cataract surgery and I'm in my mid 30's. Literally my glasses are like my crutches to see for without them I'd be blind as a bat. I'd take off my glasses throughout the day to rest my eyes and nose from the heaviness.

  • BLEACH IN EYE, HOW TO CURE QUICKLY?

Best answer: I don't really believe you but just in case you want to know how to deal with it when you get dangerous substances in your eye: immediately flush the eye with lots of clean water and then get to medical help as soon as you can.

You should put pressure on cuts or bruises but not eye contamination. You should flush it out with water instead.

But, like I said, I think you're probably just trolling us but I may as well use this opportunity to give some useful advice in case it actually happens.

  • Do I have to go to school with bacterial conjunctivitis?

It hurts like hell to open my left eye. It's stuck together and I did wash my face. I'm constantly getting watery eyes and yesterday it looked like I was crying. All. Day. My eyes get very itchy and I started off with viral conjunctivitis but now I have the symptoms of bacterial (which is worse). My GP prescribed me with eyedrops which don't help it just seems like it made it worse or maybe it wasn't the eyedrops, just my eyes getting worse for no reason. I look like a monster with my left eye closed. Also if I do get it open its swollen half shut and its so sore and painful. I can open my eye with my finger but it feels heavy and I need to close it asap because it hurts

  • Just wanted an opinion on what color my eyes are.?

So, as of lately I’ve been getting lots of questions about what color my eyes are and all these years ive always just said brown. A couple of people said that they are a light brown or amber. Sometimes it looks like they’re might be a bit of green but it’s not easy to tell. Not sure if they’re just dark brown and they reflect light differently. Again Just wanted an opinion on what you think they are.( I added a few photos in different lighting to help make it easier to tell) -thanks

  • Can I wear only one contact lens for an entire week?

I have had a lot of problems with my eyes unfortunately. The latest is a peripheral corneal ulcer due to overuse of contact lenses. It is sterile and not infectious and should resolve in a week. However, I cannot wear contacts in that eye for 7 days. Can I get by if I just have a lens in my right eye? It is my dominant eye anyway but I have noticed some crossing/squinting and strain when I wore only one lens for a few hours. I will update this with my prescription later because I don't have access to it now but my vision in both eyes is terrible and the one with the ulcer is worse. My glasses are quite thick without the special lenses and when people with perfect vision wear them they space out. I remember the doctor saying it was a medium-high prescription but I think he was just making me feel good. Glasses are a complete last resort. No correction is not possible. HELP PLEASE

  • What part of the eye do we see out of?

Best answer: Light enters the eye through the pupil in the center of the eye. However the light is not processed until ir reaches the retina at the back of the eye. Special receptors in the retina convert the light into electrical signals what are then sent to the brain through the optic nerve. Only when the brain receives those electrical signals do you actually see something.

When pupils appear red instead of black in photographs it is because so much light has entered it is reflected off the retina back to the camera.

  • Cataract in my right eye. second opinions? eye doctor specialists out there? please help?

I have a cataract in my right eye. I saw a doctor who specializes in eye surgery (has done 3,000 surgeries) and asked him questions so I can know the steps I need to take in order to continue competing in Muay Thai kickboxing. He was not working with me or giving me multiple options The doctor only gave me the options of having cataract surgery or choosing not to & continuing boxing and going possibly blind. There was a boxer I was reading about online whose name is Mario Fernandez and whose 1st doctor said he could not box again and 2nd doctor said its only a small problem so he was cleared to box again from his second doctor. The article is posted below: appler.com/sports/specials/sea-games/178280-mario-fernandez-seeks-third-seag-gold" rel="nofollow">https://www.rappler.com/sports/specials/... For all of the eye doctors & specialists out there are there specific job titles of people whom I could get 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions from who have dealt with people who compete in combat sports such as boxing, muay thai, and kick boxing? I would like to set up an appointment with such people but I don't know what the recommended specific job department or job title of these people are. Please help
