Is rock dead?
Favorite answer: rock was pronounced dead in the late 1970s, and several songs were written to dispute that claim. These include the Kink's "Rock and Roll fantasy" and Neil young's "Rust never sleeps.." In short the report that rock is dead is greatly exaggerated. the Rolling Stones are still performing, and they are still selling out their concerts. Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry of the Who are still active even though 2 of their band mates have passed. As Jethro Tull said, you are never too old to rock and roll, but you are too young to die. -

Was Bob Marley bad for reggae music? Did he curse the entire genre?
Favorite answer: I think there were a few years in the early 70s when there were tons of reggae artists making great music. Then the genre gradually lost steam for whatever reason, including Marley himself, who did most of his best work on his earliest recordings. He was probably the most charismatic front man and he wrote some great songs with a distinctive style, but I don't think musically he was really that much better than a lot of his contemporaries.
Check out some early Trojan Records compilations like the Tighten Up series or the Creation Rockers series. -
The 2010s is the worst decade in music. Anyone else agree?
I was born in 1997 and I'm very unsatisfied with the way music is in my generation. I listen to a lot of music from the early 2000s, 90s, 80s, 70s, and 60s. I mean its been a typical thing for older generations to dislike younger generation's music, but in the past it was mainly because of cultural differences. The Lost Generation had a dislike towards The Boomer's Elvis Presley for his sexual things he would do on stage, like swinging his hips, but yet they could usually consider it listenable. When previous generations listen to modern hip-hop like Post Malone, they often cringe and consider it the R-word. All these rappers with face tattoos and extremely auto-tuned voices. I feel alone in my generation. I was born in the wrong time. -
Do all neighbors mind if you play loud music ?
