Simple Calculus help needed! Derivative Problem?
Best answer: change in student enrollment = 420
decrease in enrollment will give negative sign
So dE = 420
change in time = 1 year
so dt = 1
dE/dt = 420
Now integrate
∫dE/dt = ∫420
E(t) = 420t + C ...(1)
When t = 0 ( i.e. in the beginning, student enrollment, E(0) =17000)
E(0) = 420*0 + C
17000 = C
plug in (1)
E(t) = 420t + 17000
or
E(t) = 17000 420t
How do we know at what speed we are travelling in the universe?

Do scientist believe in the end of time theory?
Best answer: No scientist thinks that time will end in two billion years. Time will end when there are no longer any concentrations of energy, and that is perhaps 10^100 years in the future.
There have been several hundred earthquakes magnitude 56.8 since March 1st. Why have there been none above a 7 yet?
Best answer: Because statistics just describe what CAN happen, not what will.

A crosssection of an irrigation canal is a PARABOLA. If the surface of the water is 50 feet wide and the canal?
Best answer: If (0,0) is the vertex, we have y = kx^2,
where y is the height of the wall above the vertex.
Apparently 32 = 625k.
When x = 5, you have y = (32/625)*25 = 32/25
= 1.28.
The water at this point is 30.72 feet deep.
If i pour 6 shots of 40 percent alcohol into my anus (buttchug), will it be a painful death?
My alcohol tolerance is 0 since I've never drank before, but I'm asking this question because I want to know what the pain threshold would be if you ingested it via your rectum. There is no vomiting since you bypassed your liver, so would the death be painless? Please explain.

Could vampires exist as a result of evolution?
Best answer: Well, vampires drink blood. Erythrocytes (blood) consist of ~2.5 million hemoglobin molecules, thus ~1 billion heme moieties. Heme is degraded by heme oxygenase to form carbon monoxide, biliverdin, and ferrous iron. Now several things must happen, 1) carbon monoxide will need to be utilized as a primary energy source thus the vampires will need to have a ton of carbon monoxide dehydrogenase enzymes to facilitate production of free energy. 2) biliverdin is converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase, thus, to prevent jaundice this enzyme will probably need to be eliminated. and 3) free iron is toxic as hell since it creates reactive hydroxys that will damage all cells and proteins thus the vampires will need ultraefficient ferritin/iron sequestering machinery. Now... the blood can account for cellular energy of the vampire, and, we can assume the plasma constituent of the blood is full of nutrients. Nonetheless, essential vitamins amino acids will need to be accounted for. We can probably assume the vampires have an extraordinary gut microbiome that likewise uses heme oxygenase, carbon monoxide, and carbon monoxide dehydrogenase as a fuel source to proliferate in the presence of blood/plasma. The microbiome would have to be incredibly efficient, nonetheless, as microbial life is found in extreme environments we cant rule out the possibility of vampire gut colonization. Anyhow human that turn to long term cannibalism could emerge as socalled vampires with some of these parameters being accounted for.

F: (infinity, a) >R f(x)=x^2 6x+4 i) Find the largest value so that f^1(x) exists ii) Find f^1(x)?
Best answer: f(x) = x^2 6x + 4.
The vertex of this parabola is found by observing that f(x) = (x3)^2 5. The vertex is at (3,5).
(i) The largest value of "a" would be 3.
(ii) f^1(x) = sqrt(x+5) + 3.
Check: f(6) = +76.
f^1(76) = 9 + 3 = 6.
Yup, it seems to work.
