  • Why did so many soldiers died from infections back then?

Best answer: There were no antibiotics. People died from infections their immune systems couldn't fight off. That's how it went until the first antibiotics were developed.

Back then doctors believed bleeding the sick got rid of 'bad blood'. George Washington died because so much blood had been removed from him that he was too weak to keep fighting the likely case of bacterial epiglottitis he contracted. The combination of infection and inability to breathe due to a severely restricted airway wasn't helped by losing as much as 40% of his blood.

Things weren't a whole lot better by the Civil War. Far more soldiers on both sides survived their initial wounds but died from infection than died on the battlefield,

  • Why did the Israeli military support the Hamas takeover of Gaza?

Wikileaks cable: Israeli intelligence chief encouraged Hamas takeover of Gaza Strip In the latest revelation to come out of the hundreds of thousands of leaked diplomatic cables provided by the website ‘Wikileaks’, a diplomatic exchange between then Israeli Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Amos Yadlin, and US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones showed Israeli support for a Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip which Israel could then declare Gaza to be a ‘hostile entity’. In the transcript, Yadlin told the US Ambassador that he would be “very happy” if Hamas formed a government in Gaza “as long as they have no (air or sea) port.” He added that Israel would then work with the rival Palestinian political party, Fateh, to form a government in the West Bank and work to undermine the Hamas government in Gaza. https://imemc.org/article/60238/

  • Was Hitler raped by Jews?

Best answer: His father's mother was raped by a rich Jew in Vienna. Adolf's father Alois was half-Jewish. He used to beat Adolf and send him to an anti-Semitic Jesuit school. It was a combination of this and Hitler's hidden homosexuality that made him a sociopath bent on a pyrrhic defeat for the Germans from whom he felt alienated. Read Bryan Riggs, "Hitler's Jewish Soldiers" and Lothar Mactan's "The Hidden Hitler". He was a withdrawn personality who creatively got revenge on a society that rejected him by playing on their weaknesses and played them off against each other. He pretended to embody the opposite of what he actually was in order to manipulate them with their own stupid fears and bigotries and hatred. All they needed to be immune was not be racist homophobic bigots. But they were. Like in Judo. A guy throws a punch at you and you do not stop the force of his blow with your body. You step aside and grab his arm and propel him forward faster. Someone comes at you with racist prejudice, instead of trying to dissuade him, tell him he is right and get him to go to war over it . The stupid drunken redneck who might have sat on his porch guzzling beers and talking CRAP for forty years and only occasionally hurting a few Gays or Blacks is now in COMBAT . . . a MUCH more dangerous place for him. That's the value of imminent -izing the Eschaton.

  • Who was a better public speaker: Trump or Hitler?

Best answer: Hitler had his style of public speaking.
"Eyes black as coal and when he lifts his face every ear in the place in on him. Starting soft and slow, like a small earthquake, and when he lets go, half the valley shakes." ... -ND
But here's the thing, the efficacy of a public speech is strongly dependent on it's content. It's like a song w/ great lyrics but no tune/instrumentation. It's forgettable.
I'm lib which is to say, I would not have been impressed by Hitler because I wouldn't have believed him.

"But even more: all at once the Jew also becomes liberal and begins to rave about the necessary progress of mankind."
    -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

It's the same thing as trump. The speech is like nails on a chalkboard to me because I recognize someone trying insult my intelligence w/ BS and lies.
Trump repeats himself over and over plus, he keeps saying "believe me". He reminds me of the used car salesman who insists he doesn't lie ... that's the first lie.
Therefore, I consider both so harmful, I can't give them any credit.
