If Otto von Bismarck had lived to see the end of World War 2, what would have been his reaction to the Holocaust?
Best answer: Pure utter horror, Bismarck kept his money in a Jewish Bank. Before WWI only a very small minority of Germans were anti-Semitic. Walther Rathenau, a German Jew, literally saved Germany from swift destruction by developing processes for extracting Nitrogen from the atmosphere for explosives. Before that the nitrogen came from nitrates mined in South America. Before WWI the Jews were seen by most Germans as a part of society. In fact anti Semitism was outlawed. Of the 100,000 Jews that served there were over 36,000 casualties of which 12,000 were killed defending Germany. Towards the end of the war Ludendorff was trying to find someone to blame for the debacle that was confronting him and had several studies done on the Jews, claiming they were slacking in their duty. The research proved exactly opposite and was suppressed. After the war the officer that did the research was sent as part of the military mission to China and never returned. It was only the ultra conservatives that had a problem with them, not the general populace. -

Hey liberal climate alarmists, the sea levels are NOT rising?
Best answer: Put the proof up there sea level hasn't risen or has gone down.
"But over the past century, the average height of the sea has risen more consistently—less than a centimeter every year, but those small additions add up. Today, sea level is 5 to 8 inches (13-20 centimeters) higher on average than it was in 1900. That's a pretty big change: for the previous 2,000 years, sea level hadn't changed much at all. The rate of sea level rise has also increased over time. Between 1900 and 1990 studies show that sea level rose between 1.2 millimeters and 1.7 millimeters per year on average. By 2000, that rate had increased to about 3.2 millimeters per year and the rate in 2016 is estimated at 3.4 millimeters per year. Sea level is expected to rise even more quickly by the end of the century."

Are you ever offended by another country's bias schooling of you country's history?
Best answer: Not really. I know my country isn’t perfect and isn’t above apology for the wrongs it’s done.
It’s probably more of an American thing—especially when they learn about how many democracies they’ve overthrown, how many civilians they’ve murdered, how much their country owes to stolen land and stolen labour, how geography—not perseverance—prevents them from being invaded like France, and how they could not subdue tiny third world nations full of brown people with the largest arsenal the world has ever seen. -

Why didn’t Churchill give Germany a free hand in the Eastern Europe?
Best answer: Britain has always sought a balance of power on the European continent. They didn't allow France (Napoleon) a free hand in the early 19th century nor Prussia in the early 20th century and the same holds true for Germany in WW2. Britian's geography along with its merchant class needs this balance of power to maintain its own geopolitical power. Also, Churchill was merely a great figure head while Britain was at war. He was never a true policy maker. Regardless of his personal sentiments about Germany or marxism, Britain's goal is and always will be, a balance of European powers.
