  • Wouldn't it be funny if Lucifer was the sun and God was the moon?

Best answer: Sun worship was the first religion. The sun was the god or the savior because it brought light, warmth and food. And every night the sun would battle with darkness but would always rise or resurrect. Off the top of my head I am thinking Horus and Seth may be one of the earliest stories of this epic battle.

  • Do Chaldean women date black men?

I hear that a lot of Chaldean women are seeing black men these days and that there have even been some weddings but I haven’t seen it yet for myself. I live in Michigan and for those of you who don’t know who Chaldeans are they’re basically the same thing as Assyrian people. Catholic Iraqis who are indigenous to Iraq/the Middle East.

  • Why do Christians contradict themselves and say that "Jesus" is not part of a religion when he clearly is a part of the Abrahamic religion?

Best answer: You're right. Christianity is a religion. I don't get why they consider having a relationship with Jesus not a "religion". It is still a religion.

  • CHRISTIANS - Sodom and Gomorrah. [See 'Details' below] were turned into an example for anyone who should live ungodly. WHAT WAS THAT EXAMPLE?

2 Peter 2:6 tells us that God turned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemning them with an overthrow, making them an example for anyone who should live ungodly. WHAT [in your opinion] WAS THAT EXAMPLE? What will happen to the 'ungodly' based on what we can see of those cities?

  • What is faith according to the Bible?

Best answer: Thank you for asking what faith is “according to the Bible.” It is good to consider the Bible’s explanation since the Bible talks about faith so frequently. The Bible provides the meaning of faith in Hebrews 11:1, where we read: "Now faith is the reality [assurance] of what is hoped for, the proof [or conviction] of what is not seen." I once heard it illustrated this way: one makes a mortgage payment every month, assured that when he pays the last one, he owns that house – an ownership that at this moment in time, is not seen. Faith is like the title-deed to something one will own in the future.

The Bible goes on to illustrate this by recalling various persons who exhibited this type of faith. Verse 3 is instructive and we see its application to this day. In verse three, we read that the universe was created by God so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible. Think about that for a moment: whether we think of God himself (a powerful person who is not visible) or whether we think of what keeps our feet planted on the ground (gravitational force – not visible), we see the effects from things and powers unseen.

Through about verse 32, we read of examples provided by persons who exhibited such faith. Abel, Moses, Abraham, and on and on. Their conduct, their behavior was the evident demonstration of their faith.

But how is this applicable to us today? Do we exhibit faith in things unseen with a view to the desired outcome? Yes. How often have we sent astronauts into outer space? What is required of this? Keeping it very basic, the spacecraft has to have the power and velocity to escape earth’s gravitational force and, upon returning, that spacecraft must re-enter earth’s atmosphere with the proper power, speed, and timing to deliver the astronauts safely home without missing the mark and without burning them to a crisp. Think about the calculations involved. Yet, man is able to do that. Why? He has faith. In what? In what is not seen. Math is an abstract, gravitational force is invisible, speed and velocity are invisible but man has learned how to measure, control and extrapolate all of this to the degree necessary to do space travel. It is all based on faith. Scientists display faith all day long. Want to bring it closer to home?

Every time we turn the key in the ignition of our car, we exercise faith. We have the assured expectation that when we do so, the engine turns over, we put the car in gear and away we go. On what is our assured expectation based? Well, what makes all that happen? Spark plugs, fuel mixture, mini explosions in an engine over and over, electricity. We have faith that given the proper combination of all that stuff, our car will start over and over and over. It is really no different with those who display faith in what is called God’s word the Bible. Now in order to understand just how combustion works in a car’s engine, you have to learn it, right? Drivers may say, "Nah, I don’t need to learn it, I just need the car to get me where I need to go." All well and good. But one CAN learn what is going on. The more one becomes familiar with the workings of the car engine, the greater the faith in that engine. With the Bible, it is the same. Those who who have a working faith in the Bible have a serious working knowledge of it. But people who ridicule the Bible – for the most part – have not bothered to get a working knowledge of the Bible. They are like the driver who says "Nah, I don’t need to learn it, I just need the car to get me where I need to go."

If you ask a driver: "What does the car run on? They will, doubtless tell you, "It runs on gas." And of course that is partly true. But if you tell a new driver that the car runs on a little fuel and a lot of air, that the fuel mixture is 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel, they look at you funny. "All that air??!!!" Yes. The surprise comes from a lack of knowledge.

The true Bible student has knowledge - he knows where the Bible is going to take him and the Bible student knows how. That’s faith according to the Bible. Does faith have power? Oh yes. See, please, John 5:39. Knowledge results in faith and faith is a powerful thing.

  • Why do people pick me to talk to in public?

I’m a 28 year old female who is always a target for strangers who ask me for directions or for change to get on the bus or train. I always turn people down. People always say good morning to me when I’m walking. I hate when strangers talk to me. I always have to wear headphones and listen to loud music so I can ignore the people who attempt to speak to me. If someone tries to talk to me,, I will walk past them and ignore them. Why do people pick ME to talk to and how do I get them to stop??
